Barcelona Table
A personal response to Mies Van Der Rohe’s iconic Barcelona Pavilion. Taken from Van Der Rohe’s intricate column design, each component was taken apart and reconstructed to form a fictional proposal for one of a set of related furniture. Done as part of a research on columns which included analyses of columns at the National Theatre by Denys Lasdun, the V&A, and SANAA’s Naoshima Ferry Terminal.
